Polymet's alloy cored wire consists of an alloyed steel strip such as, carbon, nickel, stainless, cobalt and copper, or combination of alloys. The strip is then fabricated into a tubular wire, with a calculated mixture of alloys such as nickel, chrome, manganese, molybdenum, tungsten and others uniquely blended together. The blended mixture is then metered into the wire during the fabrication process, producing special alloy cored or flux cored wire in diameters from .045” (1.2mm) to 5/32” (4.0mm). This special process allows Polymet to design wires to meet your special requirements for welding, hardfacing and thermal spraying.
